Karate Game

Concept: I have two ideas, one I got when I was out, which is a grey hound breed racing game, though I remembered back, to pick a karate game which is in the genre of fighting, I have had this idea since the beginning of this course. Since I have been in the environment of tournaments and also a competitor, the ideas have come through the interaction of people, experience, knowledge of the sport and travel. The goal of this game is to bet your opponent in points before the time runs out or pile on ‘8’ points in front of you opponent to finish the fight earlier. Get to the top of all the contestants.

Backstory: You have been studying karate with your sensei, for 6 years and still haven’t actually gone to a tournament, the other student however have always been. You ask your sensei why you can never go and compete. He says you need to prove to me you are a good fighter, we will start with the dojo with 2 of our students for practice.

Environment: The setting is worldwide, very much like a realistic tournament environment with lots of judges and competitors.

Characters:

Sensei: Helpful, but strict with training sessions.

Head Referee: Observant, and quick to pick techniques.

Karate Student: Determined to be the best.

Blue Print:

Asset List:

Game Mechanic: Role-playing - you are the character that has to get to your destination, with gang members stopping you. Since it is just a level the game is a 'single player' mode. Elimiatation of the gang members is what the main goal would consist of.

Level Objectives: Getting to your destination. Elimination of the 4 Gangs. (which aren't clarified yet.) Gather weapons to help guide you through the level. Race the clock to the end. Increase your power bar for greater crit ratio's. With symbols for items, and positioning the gangs to be represent North, South, East, West positions. Enemys being randomly placed for extra enjoyment and reward drops like health pickups and power drops.
